Ludowici Factory Tour
2.0 Learning Units
Earn 2.0 learning units when you schedule a trip to tour Ludowici’s manufacturing facility in New Lexington, Ohio. Upon visiting the Ludowici factory, you get an up-close, in-depth look into the manufacturing of terracotta roof tile and wall cladding. Follow along each step of terra cotta manufacturing processes—from raw material grinding, clay extrusion—to handcrafting, glazing, and firing—and finally testing, packaging, and shipping. You’ll also observe hand molding and customization techniques proprietary to Ludowici.
